This 2007 Rolex Submariner, Ref. 16610LV, otherwise known as the ‘Kermit’ to Rollie lovers, has the distinctive green bezel and black dial. Not to be confused with the Submariner Ref. 116610LV  or ‘Hulk’ – which has a green dial and bezel. The Kermit was introduced in 2003 for the Submariner’s 50th birthday, with the LV in the reference number standing for ‘Lunette Verte’, which is green bezel in French. The Kermit has an aluminium, as opposed to a Cerachrom bezel, with slightly broader hour markers and minute hand. Earlier models, like this 2007 version have more of an olive coloured bezel as they age.
