Which Tudor watch is most popular?

Tudor’s most popular watches include the Black Bay, Pelagos, North Flag and Glamour. Their vintage Submariner dive watch is also highly prized by collectors. David Beckham is a Tudor brand ambassador and regularly wears a Pelagos, as well as a variety of Black Bay models.

Tudor Black Bay

Tudor’s Black Bay collection is the brand’s premier dive watch and best seller. Current versions are inspired by the brand’s own vintage Submariner model, with a distinctly retro charm. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight in the vintage-sized 39mm case is the current bestseller, though there are also 41mm and 43mm cases – all with in-house chronometer movements.  Also look out for the recently released, and ever-so retro Tudor Black Bay Pro GMT, which is a dead ringer for Rolex’s vintage-era Explorer.

Tudor Black Bay Chronograph

The Black Bay Chrono range, is another first for the Black Bay collection, and is awesome value at under $10k for an in-house chrono movement. Introduced into the Black Bay range in 2017, and the chronographs have a strong nod to the vintage Rolex ref. 6263 Daytona. For a chrono you get a lot for your money with the excellent COSC certified calibre MT5813 movement – awesome value at under $10k for an in-house chrono movement. No surprise that these are getting snapped up as an affordable alternative to Rolex’s Daytona range.

Tudor Pelagos

The Pelagos is actually a more serious tool/dive watch than the Black Bay, with water resistance to 500 m (50 bar) and a titanium case and bracelet for extended durability underwater. A helium escape valve means this model is actually designed to do some serious saturation diving! This model also uses in-house movements, which are chronometer certified (COSC), with a 70-hour power reserve.  The most popular Pelagos models are the blue dial (Pelagos Blue) and black dial version (Pelagos Black).

Tudor Glamour, Style, Clair de Rose & 1926

The Tudor Glamour, Style and Clair de Rose models are the brands answer to dress, formal and ladies watches. The Glamour Double Date 42mm with the dual-aperture date complication is a real standout. It has an in-house caliber and is available in a range of metals, including stainless steel and two-tone with gold. The Style series are more affordable, straightforward dress watches for ladies and men, while the Clair de Rose are for ladies only, with precious gems on the dial. Go for the entry-level 1926 range if you are looking for a great value dress watch, with a fantastic textured, waffle dial that is at once modern and retro.
